Our Happy Easter

We had a great Easter this year. Makade was just a little bit older where he really got into it!! Especially dying the eggs. We ended up with lots of cracked eggs and dyed hands but we had a great time.

I didn't think Makade was all that excited for the Easter Bunny to come because I had been trying to get him pumped up about it for a couple of days and he just didn't seem to care all that much. Boy was I wrong!! He went to bed kind of late the night before so I thought for sure that he would sleep in or not be very nice when he woke up. At 2:30 in the morning I heard something but just thought I was dreaming. After awhile I finally woke up enough to realize that it was Makade out shaking his eggs and candy and playing with all of the stuff. I couldn't believe it! He wasn't even this excited for Christmas. So I convinced Bryan to get up and see what was going on. After about an hour he went back to sleep but he was up and at it again at 6:00. He had a lot of fun!! Charlie thought it was pretty great too! He was crawling around after Makade picking up any candy Makade dropped and shoving it in his mouth. After awhile I looked over and he was crawling around with two suckers in his mouth. Lets just say they ate a lot of candy and so they were definitely on a sugar high during church. Sadly I couldn't wait for it to be over so everyone would stop staring at our crazy, hyper boys!! After church we went and ate at my parents house with my mom and dad and grandparents. After that we went out to Bryan's grandparents with Bryan's parents, Jared, Lauren, and their two kids. All in all we had a pretty happy Easter.

Makade loves to hold Charlie, even though he is not much bigger!

4. What would I do if I were to suddenly become a billionaire?
Well I guess first I would pay off any debts. Get a rockin' new car, and one for Bryan. Set up some accounts for my boys (mission, college, or whatever.) Buy a house right on the beach (but just for vacations) and do a lot of traveling. Also I suppose I would give to family members. And give a lot away. (who really needs billions of dollars... I'm sure if I kept it all to myself I would become a big spoiled brat!!)

5. 3 bad habits:

1. procrastination... do it daily.
2. Stress out way to much.
3. I, just like Whitney am a picker. I pick at everything, my arms, face, Bryan, kids. I have an obsession with Q-tips, love em. Lately I have been getting zits for the first time in my life (kinda weird to just be starting now.) but I cannot leave them alone and pretty soon my face is all red from me picking at anything. But I especially like picking at Bryan and he just goes and hides he hates it so much.

Oh, what a night!!

I did something last night that I don't normally do... I actually left my house and did something with a friend. I often feel so neglectful to friends and know that I need to make more of an effort to keep up and spend time with them. I have a lot of friends that I really care how they are and what they are doing but they probably wouldn't know it by how I keep in contact! So for those of you out there who are reading this: How are you? What are you up to? I hope everything is great!!!

So about my night we went shopping, ate more junk food than was necessary, got hit on by random men, what more could you ask for on a night out!! You can read more about it on Kandice's blog. (She is on my list of blogger friends) Kandice is very right, a little break here and there DOES make for a much happier wife and mommy!!! So thank you Kandice for always being such a good friend. Even though we have gone through periods in our lives where we have been in different places and phases, we have still always been able to pick up where we left off and got along great!! And don't worry... Bryan didn't complain too much about the money I spent!

Erin had a little lamb, little lamb, little lamb....

So here is the story. I'm up at the Massey household (Bryan's parents) and I'm told that I am needed out where the sheep are. So I go out there, and My Father-in-law ,Todd, needs me to help him pull a lamb. He says that the ewe isn't dilating and she needs to have those lambs. Next he proceeds to tell me since I have smaller hands than him or Bryan that I am the woman for the job. I said OK and started lubing up my arm. After trying for a little while not getting anywhere, I go get some new warm water and Makade decides to come back out with me. I get back in position ready to stick my hand back up there and Makade (bless his little heart) is like "Ew mom don't do that, take it out" he was a little freaked out by the whole thing. I think he thought I was going to get hurt. But I had a job to do, that ewe was finally dilated. The whole time Makade was saying "I'm scared, I'm scared, I want to go in with Grammie." It took me awhile to figure out what was what but I finally kind of had it figured out. The lamb was positioned with his back and butt trying to come out first and so he wasn't getting into the birth canal far enough to dilate his mama. After being frustrated cause I couldn't find what I was looking for, I finally got a hoof and pulled it out far enough that Todd could grab hold of it and pull it out. I don't know how many people have seen animals being born but it is a pretty cool experience! But can be pretty weird to see those little babies coming out and smacking the ground and then if they aren't breathing right away to see someone throwing them around. I had seen all this before, but I think It was Makade's first time. The whole time he was saying "That lamb is dead" once that lamb started breathing he was one happy boy he kept saying "The lamb is alive, he is alive." We took a little break, I took makade into the house with Grammie (he had enough of that), and then I went back in to see if there was another one. There was and this one was coming out the wrong way too. I was trying to find a leg so I could get it out for Todd. The whole time he was being so patient, I just know he wanted to yell find that leg and pull it out dang it!! but he didn't he said afterward he didn't want to offend me cause he was afraid I wouldn't help him anymore. lol, I thought that was funny. But I finally got it and started pulling as hard as I could but I am just not strong enough. luckily Bryan came in right then and pulled it the rest of the way out. this lamb was huge!! But this one did not live, I about started bawling... it was so sad. They had me check to see if there were anymore and there was another one! This time it was coming head first and only took me a second to pull out... I was so relieved!! and even more relieved when it was alive! So we ended up saving two baby lambs, I was just so proud of myself. And it made me realize that with all this new life coming into the world ...spring is coming. That thought just makes me so happy!!
*The pictures were taken the day after...and are not real. In fact not even the same ewe!! too bad they are not in the moment!!

I'm Black??? well I guess that is ok

Bryan and I both took this test, and ended up being the same color! What can I say? Great minds think alike!

Take this test!
Your color is black. The color of night. Serene and mysterious, black conjures up images of elegant evening gowns, dashing tuxedos, and gleaming limousines. Traditionally a symbol of success, black also represents power and an uncompromising demand for perfection. Not surprisingly, you tend to set challenging goals for yourself and do whatever it takes to achieve them — your strength of character is second to none. This unfaltering determination, along with your natural elegance, impresses people. But keep in mind that your personality might be intimidating to some. Try to temper your demanding side with a little softness — trust us, it won't kill you. Overall, though, black is the color of professionalism and achievement, which means it's clearly the color for you.

BOYS WILL BE BOYS

Today has just been one of those days. Both of my boys have been into everything and causing all sorts of havoc around here. If I wrote about everything they did today it would make for a pretty long post, so I will just tell you about a couple of Charlie's happenings.
This morning I put both of my boys in the bath tub. I usually put them both in together and after Charles is finished I take him out and get him dressed while Makade stays in and plays for a few more minutes. So that is what I did. After I got Charlie dressed he crawled in the bathroom to see what Makade was doing and to watch him play I guess, pretty harmless... or so I thought. I was in the next room folding laundry when I heard a big splash. That is not anything unusual with Makade in the tub, but I ran in there cause I was thinking Charlie probably got soaked from Makade splashing. Well it is a good thing I ran because when I got there Charlie had pulled himself over the edge and had fallen in and was under the water. I hurried and picked him up, but he must of sucked up some water and was pretty upset. After he got done choking and crying for a minute he thought it was funny because then he busted up laughing, I couldn't believe it!
About an hour later I went back to my laundry folding. Makade and Charlie were playing with Makade's toys in his room, when all of a sudden I heard Charlie giggling from the bathroom. I went running in because he has been quite fascinated with the toilet lately. Oh boy did I see a sight when I got there. (if you have a weak stomach you might want to quit reading now!) He was covered in poop. Makade had gone and not flushed the toilet and Charlie had fished it out and smeared it everywhere, including himself. I picked him up and began gagging my head off. But I stuck him in the sink and starting washing him off with the nearest soap... while still gagging. The whole time he is looking at me like I'M the crazy one. Then I got the grin and that's when I really lost it...he looked at me with a sweet innocent little smile and what do you know... he had two little poop covered nubby teeth!

He is my climber. He climbs on anything and everything. The pictures were taken over a month ago and since then he has only improved. He started crawling when he was 8 months old, the next day he started pulling up on everything, and about a week later he started climbing on everything. I don't think he goes a day without adding to his collection of bruises on his forehead!

Charlie is such a funny little baby. He is 10 months old and is already getting into all kinds of trouble. I always need to keep my eye on him. After today I think I am going to have to keep BOTH eyes on him at all times!

My Age Quiz Results

You Act Like You Are 28 Years Old
You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel like an adult, and you're optimistic about life.
You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.

You're still figuring out your place in the world and how you want your life to shape up.
The world is full of possibilities, and you can't wait to explore many of them.

I have a music playlist!

Now this is the story all about how my life got twisted turned upside down and I'd like to take a minute just sit right there I'll tell you how I became the prince of town called Bel-Air.

Yeah, I know this is the theme song from the T.V. show, The Fresh Prince. and yes, I do have the whole thing memorized. Back in the day (Jr. high I believe) I watched this show everyday and somehow with my terrible memorizing skills managed to remember the whole thing. The bad part is it pops into my head at the most random times and drives me crazy. So... yesterday I was working on making a play list of music to put on here, I was trying to think of all my favorite blog appropriate songs and all that kept popping into my brain was this song, I just can't seem to get it out. On the plus side I did manage to finish my play list. I need to give a shout out to my sister-in-law, Brittany, she has helped me with all of my questions and has given me a lot of help... so thanks Britt!

One thing about me is I love Music! All kinds, except all the heavy metal junk and a lot of the Rap crap. My life is just one big soundtrack, different music goes with different moods and different parts of my life. When I hear a song of past it triggers my memory and takes me back to the time I liked the song. And now to the point. So I guess from going through so much music yesterday when I tried to sleep last night I just couldn't, my mind would not shut down. I kept having all these songs playing through my mind. It happens quite often. I'll wake up exhausted because I feel like I've been at a dance club all night. In fact most of my dreams have music in the back ground like it is a movie with a soundtrack or something, a lot of the time it is the same song playing over and over. It's crazy! Does anybody else do this?

*Note to Kelli: Don't hate me because I have a blog... I know you secretly want to read it! And yes you can be a guest writer... if you will agree to a couple of things. 1. You have to put your name on it saying YOU wrote it. Although the titles you came up with the other night were extremly funny to us... others might turn me in to child protection services. 2. You have to keep in mind that people read this, including family members and quite frankly you know far too many incriminating things about me.

Please put a picture on my map!!
